Welcome to the 2024 Greater Detroit District Mission Revival
The Mission Revival is an annual event organized by the Greater Detroit District, designed to celebrate and showcase the diverse and vibrant musical talents within our churches. This year's theme focuses on highlighting the unique sounds of church music across the district, from praise bands and organ recitals to classical music concerts and choir performances. Our goal is to create a series of events that not only showcase these talents but also foster a sense of community and shared worship.
A Wesleyan Hymn Festival at St. Paul's UMC, Monroe
On Sunday, September 22 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul's UMC, Monroe, enjoy a unique service celebrating the Wesley Brothers, founders of Methodism. We will hear readings from John Wesley's "Directions for Singing" and music by Charles Wesley, with a focus on Congregational singing as well as music by St. Paul's own music ensembles and special guest musicians.
