The Church Has Left the Building: September 27
On Sunday, September 27, churches across the Greater Detroit District are invited to leave the building and serve their communities for The Church Has Left the Building, an all-day district-wide Mission Sunday.
Each church is encouraged to create its own mission opportunity at any time during the day. Your project can be as simple or creative as you would like. In past years, churches have cleaned local walking trails, served at food pantries and soup kitchens, made cards for hospitalized neighbors, visited nursing homes, paid for meals at local restaurants, completed yard work and projects at their own churches, and found many other meaningful ways to serve.
The goal is simple: find a way to be the hands and feet of Christ in your community.
